L O L A was established in 2005 by Donna Colomby after discovering that her passion for exceptional design and typography merged perfectly with her love of the tactile nature of letterpress, brilliant inks, and fine papers. Born in San Francisco, Donna earned a BS degree in Business Administration at San Jose State University. She later enrolled in art school in Los Angeles and earned a BFA degree, concentrating in Graphic Design, from Otis College of Art & Design. Upon graduation, she quickly won several clients including the American Cancer Society, Pizzulli Winery, KNA Interior Design, Art Options Foundation, Otis College of Art & Design, and several recording artists such as Chris Botti, Paula Cole, and Blood Sweat & Tears.

"I like to borrow a quote from the teachings of the 6th century Chinese philoso-pher, Lao Tzu, 'See simplicity in the complicated. Achieve greatness in little things'."
